Alright, so this is going to be short and sweet but my main goal with this blog is to tie this site in with my twitter as to connect and maintain updated information on the subject of bias within the same story between a number of new sources. In doing so I hope to shed light on what is actual fact and what is bias new story telling. My issue is that people today have no passion in finding out for themselves what is actually true and what is simply "click bait" worthy story telling.
We've read on how with the advancements in technology there seems to be a lack of professionalism within journalism and that personally is a scary situation. This means anyone basically can post and report information and call it news. The worst part about this is the fact that people will take this information for truth on face value. This could be used to mislead people and stir up emotions which aren't truly directed in the right place. This could be used to manipulate people into acting or thinking a certain way. Ultimately, my goal is to attempt to keep the people from being puppets of their own ignorance and emotion. I will try and keep up with these posts as best as I can and hopefully really get used to all this social media junk.
Oh and before I forget!!! I read something interesting in this idea. So if everyone can basically become an outlet for news then that means oil companies can become new stations or new outlets and give case studies funded by themselves in an attempt to put false or "altered" information out there and parade it as actual facts. This do happen with out this speculative statement but with no restriction on this or knowledge individuals could easier be caught up in the misinformation of it all.
